2. Information we collect on this website
When you submit our enquiry form we collect the practice or practitioner name, specialty, number of practitioners, a description of your current billing challenge, your phone number, email address and preferred contact method. We use it only to respond to your enquiry and to prepare a proposal.
3. Information we process for client practices
Where CollectMed administers accounts for a practice, we process patient and account information as an operator on the practice's instruction. That information is used only for capturing, billing, submitting, collecting, allocating, reconciling and reporting on accounts, and is handled on a need-to-know basis by the staff assigned to that practice.
4. Lawful basis and purpose
We process personal information under POPIA on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract, or our legitimate business interest in responding to enquiries — whichever applies to the interaction concerned.
5. Sharing
We share information with medical schemes and their administrators only as required to submit and settle accounts, and with service providers who host our systems under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell personal information.
6. Retention and security
Information is retained only for as long as required to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law, and is protected by reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. [Retention periods to be confirmed.]
